Default 2016 FXDB exhaust slipons for best torque

Sorry if this has been asked a hundred times, but I couldn’t find answers on search. I bought a clean used 2016 FXDB. 5k miles. 103 engine. Stock except it has VH straight shots on it.these are basically straight through but do have baffles /perimeter inside. Bike runs , pull good but does have pop on decell-not a big deal. I installed the DB torque plates ( lollipops), to help. My question- although my head pipes still have cats in them, what would be the best slipons to make best low/mid torque ? I know I can put different cams , etc but I just want it to be as healthy as possible for a daily driver/short trips. I’m an old guy, don’t hot rod as much anymore. Appreciate any replies.

No cheap way out. My choice was a SuperTrapp 2 into one with 16 discs and a closed end cap. It feels like an easy 10 ft lbs of tork. It works really well with a bolt in cam and a tune.

Does the bike have a tune? I'd address that before changing pipes. A good tune is a beautiful thing.

It does not have a tune(r) on it. Looking at it from that perspective, I suppose I could keep the VH Straight shots and just purchase a VH micro tuner. Maybe a call or e-Mail to Fuel Moto might set me straight. I have bought a PVCX from them for the bike I had before.

You could also try a FP3.
Easy to install and work with.

I know a super cool guy that happens to be selling V&H slip-ons for a smokin' deal!

I don't think you can get enough performance improvement from slip-ons to justify the cost. They're good for sound and/or looks, but not so much for performance.

Aren't the cats in the mufflers on DBs? I know my WG has it in the collector/Y-pipe header but the DB has headers like a Sportster, right? My Sporty had them in the mufflers.

Reason I'm lurking is because I'm still figuring out what exhaust I really want for the long term and love the look of the old school twin headers of the Street Bob/Sportster on a WG.

Also, when I got mine it had a Bassani Sweeper set on it that were super loud and crazy powerful. I sold them and found a stock header and threw on Crusher slipons. It sounds more moderate (better) and doesn't back fire anymore but it did lose noticeable power.
