Default Battery Pigtail

Hello All, Been a long time since I visit last visited here. Any of you have a magic way to install a pigtail on the battery for trickle charging that looks clean and doesn't require removal of the battery cover? I have a 2006 35th Anniversary. Thank you.

Seriously? You can't figure that out all by yourself without some help from the world wide web? SMDH

I have mine sticking up out of the centre of the seat so I remember to plug it in when I get home.

Disconnect the battery first then. Put to the red cable to the red cable on the starter & negative to any bolt on the engine. Use a tie band to place the pigtail where you want it. About a 10 minute job.

Thank you Boys. Connecting the hot to the starter will make it much easier as the pigtail I have has a built in fuse block which is pretty big. And BTW OE2NB, you are correct, I should not need the WWW for this or anything for that matter as my wife knows everything!

I just used the pigtail that came with my battery tender. Hooked it up to the battery terminals and secured it with the battery bungy cord. The battery cover fits right over it. Pigtail routed to the left side of the bike.

You've probably noticed the positive lead to the starter goes to the stud on top of the starter. For the life of I can't figure why HD didn't stay with an all red cable from the battery positive to the starter.
