When I bought my bike I also got a ton of things thrown onto it. 2 things that were backordered were the saddlebags and the diamondback clutch cable. Well it's been 5 weeks since I picked the bike up and over 3 months since it ordered it and all the accessories. Well finally the saddlebags have shown up but the clutch cable is still MIA. Dealer said it keeps getting pushed back and now it's not scheduled to come until December 15th!! They must be braiding the cable with their toes or something. Anyways like I said the bags are in so I'm going to get them installed tomorrow.
I'll take some new pics later this week after the install and post them on my website for all to see. I also added a few more parts to the bike that weren't in the current pictures so I'll get pics of those as well.
Wild Wally, the part number of the bags is on my website...but it's 90369-06.
I just hope they don't look gay...the bike looks really cool right now without them and they will cover up a lot of chrome so I hope they look good. Besides, I'm already tired of stuffing stuff in my jacket to carry around so I suppose if anything else the bags will be handy for stuff like tools, flashlight, tire gauge, gloves, etc.
Renegade, yes the color is Black Pearl. As far as mad cash...I wish! I just took the quick way out and financed all my stuff into the purchase price. That way everything was taken care of from the beginning and I didn't spend 5 years buying stuff for the bike like I did my Cobra. It's much easier this way if you can afford to pay a little more of a monthly payment.
cool. I looked at your pics again. Awesome bike. That gives me inspiration for more chrome. i just ordered the upper and lower belt guards and voltage reg cover.
After that I think I'll get the chrome console and gas cap.
Did you or the dealer install the swingarm and sprocket cover? I've been wondering how difficult and how much labor is involved with that.
The dealer installed the swingarm and sprocket cover. I think it would be difficult to do on your own unless you had a lift/jack and a way to ensure that the tires are in line with each other after taking the rear off and putting it back on.
Got the bike back with the bags installed...they look pretty darn good. Obviously it's not as "stripped down and hardcore" as it was but they are going to be super useful.
I'm taking a vacation day from work tomorrow and plan on riding and taking some new pics. I'll get them posted after that.
I'll have to figure out how to do that gallery thing too.
I also just ordered the chrome oil filler spout (62511-06) and the chrome passenger footpeg supports (49249-06) for the bike. They won't make it into this new round of pictures but use your imagination and you'll see them.
Here are some new pics of the bike with the bags installed. There are more on my website. I think they look pretty damn good! Let me know what you think.
Great looking bike man..........as you can tell by my own pics I am a fan of that type of HD saddlebag.......maybe they change the look a bit but hey......they still look great and make a fantastic running/riding bike even better............we even added the luggage rack and tall sissy bar w/ Heritage style backrest..........
Nice looking bike though.....Gawd...I love my Dyna
Edited to add: Thought I'd mention that HD makes a nice tail light chrome cover and a cool looking lay-down license plate mounting kit [see pic] if you are thinking about splashing a bit more chrome on that girl........
