az gunner there was no ticket issued with a fine just a fix it ticket like if you turn sig was out. you have 5 days to comply and then you send the bottom of the ticket in. i suppose it goes on your record and when and if you get pulled over agian it will show that you got a warning and will have note of the sgned bottom that you complied and if you didnt then you get the ticket. i only have the motocycle so im not going to really fight this, i know its a pain and what not but its what it is. i ride 100mi everyday 2 and from work so i need to be legal. as said the SB bars are a good match to what i had just 6in shorter and i need just the bars, i know my cables will be long but im going to mess with how they are routed to get them close plus im going to 3in risers instead of stock. so i just need a resanable price for someone who took there stockers off.

......I know it'd be a pain in the butt, but what about buying a set of 1" dia. 14" bars, switch them out for the courts and then switch them back......
This is a really bad idea. Just because you get a window to fix the probelm for free, doesn't mean that it's not on record. If you get caught a second time - I'd guess the free period goes away, and you just get to pay your big ticket fine and/or get impounded.

I was looking at putting some 16's on mine. What kind of trade do you want to work out? That way we may be able to just swap the whole set-up plus $$

You're right it probably is, just looking for a way out.

Hounddog, I've got 9" rise t-bars, cables, & brake line available if you need them for a while to get by until you get what you need. You'd just have to figure out what to do with your wiring. If you used one of those Novello kits it should be pretty easy or you may be able to pull it all back into the frame. Just an offer if you need another option.

blade i have drag spec 16"s that i drilled myself and had no probs thus far but the bottom hole may need some more dremel work. other than that the bars are good. one prob i cant have any down time on my ride well fri-sun but i need it to get to work mon-thurs. so it would be like this you'd have to send me your bars so i could get them on and then send you mine that next day. i did this once so i can easily kill it in one day if i had the other bars first. i would also do a straight swap with you we each just pay S&H. however i was hopin to just get sum bars, not cuz i want or need my 16's but it would just be easier that way. plus the bars wernt knurled at the clamp so i have to cut sum grooves to keep them from moving. im not sure you'll want these bars blade but a good idea. let me know what you think. az gunner i appericate the offer on the t-bar but i went ol skool and cut and solder my wires [&:]but i can order from dennis kirk to get the bars i want i was just think theres soooo many guys that swapped the stockers of the BOB and got diff so i hope they'll help me out and sell them to me for a good price. thanks guys for the help and info, but i still want some stock SB bars man!!!! it would make my life sooo easy.

Sorry to hear about your problem - if I had my originals they'd be yours for free. Don't know what I'd do if I lived in a state that required lower bars. Luckily, where I live doesn't and the surrounding states I ride into don't either.

those b sum tall bars!!!! ya Arizona says hands cant be above your shoulders so if your short drag bars are your only option, or if yer really short you might not be able to ride at all!!! but sum SB bars would be real nice about now............any takers, maybe i dip over to the softail folks.
