New Fat Bob
looking at the Stage 1 options.
I’m liking:
-2 Brothers Racing 2 into 1 Comp exhaust in stainless
-Arlen Ness Velocity 90deg in black
the tuner is where I’m unsure is the FP3 “The One”
Will this work up to stage 3 if I go that route?
Any downside to the FP3? Anything better or more cost effective?
thanks
geoff
what’s the advantage of the PV over the FP3?
I got a FP 3 and i am happy with it.
But if you wanna go beyond stage 2 , you are probably better off with something else.
Plus if you want it dynoed at one point, not many tuners use FP 3
Ive run them for years in my EVOs.
As far as exhaust are concerned, my golden rule of engine enhancement has always been this, If you’re not taking advantage of the free energy being produced by any four cycle engine, you either don’t care about extracting the most from your engine or you’re into looks for a bike .
Two into ones will extract the most power from a Harley EVO, Twin cam or four valver.
finish is more a looks thing but I personally use black ceramic on my street FLSTF for durability.
primaries need to be the correct length first then your collector.
one of the best still to this day is Thunder header.
its your choice though.
A knowledgeable shop will know what works well together. Many will have set Stage packages based on your riding/power goals....
FWIW.... I would suggest FuelMoto as they offer both tuners and have a reputation of leading you down a path to achieve your goals, rather than what is most profitable for them.
I have been a customer of FuelMoto for many years. I have purchased everything from an air filter element, PV tuner, exhaust systems, to a crate engine and tune. They have always impressed me with their knowledge, integrity, and desire to give the customer what they are looking for... I got to meet the owner and tuning expert, Jaime, while having some work done to one of my bikes. He sets the tone and truly cares about customer satisfaction. Thus the entire staff I got to meet, share that same mind set.

my advice is if you want to run Red Shift.
call them.
They have been doing this for years and will tell you what pipes, what carburetor or injection works well with their bump sticks.
