Now I understand what you're sayin phil.

And yes, I do believe you are right that the one inch wide
material would produce a tidier look.

However, I don't know what that would look like overall.
But, I've never used the one inch material.

Attaching two pix below, both sides of a tight bend.

On the inside, you have to choke up, and narrow the spacing.

The key is TIGHT wrapping, liberal soaking beforehand,
pay attention, unwrap if necessary,
and cinch it down TIGHTLY.

Results shown below are certainly tidy enough for myself,
and the girls I go with.

I'm working on a series of pages on my website
to illustrate my technique,
and if I see there is any interest in this sort of info,
I will be posting a link.

I think I might be repeating the reply post.
I have done 3 lots of pipes.getting better each time.
I use stainless bands from c.v.joint boots. They tighten flat and almost dissappear in the paint.
good job.Phil

That looks great Mud.
I have been looking into black 2 in 1 pipes, but after seeing how yours turned out, I might go that route.

The way you have your machine set up now,
I think wrapped pipes would look real good.

The 2into1 should give you more power as well.

Mud ...

I just happened on this post as my net was down foraround 2 1/2 weeks after I moved.

Pipes look great!! I like them better than the ShortShots. Everytime I see your "bags" I want to order some Ammo cans and commence-a-hackin' on em .... maybe over the Winter !!
