Just had a set of Michelin Commander 3s put on my '08 Low Rider in April. They replaced a set of dunfops that were on there when I bought it. I'm telling you, it's like I have a brand new bike! Plenty of confidence around curves and on wet roads. They aren't the cheapest tires by far, but I don't skimp on tires. I love Cooper tires for my truck, but Michelin makes the best motorcycle tires, if you're asking me. Just my .02 cents
Riding old tires then to a brand new set, whatever brand, is like riding a new bike.
I have tried shinkos, night dragon and now riding on cobra chrome on my dyna, shinkos were good and sticky but won’t last for long. You will get a flat spot for sure. Night dragon, excellent tires when warmed up, expensive tho. Cobra chromes are a bit cheaper and grips pretty good. In my experience, they get warm faster then the dragons.
