Default 2003 FXDWG Electrical Issues

Started off with left signal not working. Both bulbs are good and front stays lit, but won't flash. I took the switch housing apart to see if it was the switch and I have power to one of the wires but nothing to the other. After that, I tried others like the horn, brake lights, hazards and turned the **** to accessories and now none of that works. What could be the problem(s)?

Explain exactly what you did.

Sounds like whatever you did inside the switch caused a blown accessory fuse.

[QUOTE=Dan89FLSTC;20743213]Explain exactly what you did.
Took the cover off and probed the two wires to the left signal switch with a test light both before and after pressing the button.

High and low beam still work for the headlight and the tail light still works, but doesn't do anything when pressing the brakes.

The headlight and running lights are on a different circuit.

The turn signals, horn, and brake light are on the accessory circuit, check the fuse.

You don`t need to get into the switches yet...

Forget the test light, it`s for hooking up trailer lights....

Do you have a multimeter?

If not, just buy an el cheapo meter, it will do everything you need.

Ok, I'll do that when I have time, probbly tomorrow.

Why would the right signal have worked but not the left?

Couldn`t say, without troubleshooting...

I did have a bad fuse to the brake light and horn, but still not getting any left signal. Right side flashes with hazzards on but front left is on solid and nothing on left rear.
