Default Various Questions

I've got a handful of questions, none really related, so i'll just ask.

1. Does installation of a PC3 and dyno quiet the baffles any? Or have i just gotten used to the sound and they sound quieter to me now?

2. Got dyno'd last saturday @ Sabin Performance in Dallas and i'm getting a fair amount of backfire, mostly on decel when this wasn't an issue beforehand. anyone else have this problem, specifically after visiting Sabin? Jim said the map that Fuel Moto sent me was pretty much on target, but he made some adjustments and didn't have issue taking my $200. He's a good guy and seems to know what he's talking about, but the scoot seems to be running worse than it was before he got his hands on it.

3. Anyone who had Jackyl's tank lift put on (2 inch) - anyone else getting a metallic rattle or clunk sound when hitting a bump or when the bike shifts forward or back? Certainly no bad comments on Jackyl's work, but it almost feels as if the metal piece used to lift is hitting the bolt that attaches it to the frame when i hit a bump in the road or when the bike shifts forward or back on excel or decel. I've checked all else that i can think of and it's the only thing up front that i've made changes to that would be causing the sound.

4. Anyone who put on the Big Radius - i've heard mediocre reviews about power and torque. Is this true and how does it sound? I've got the Rush slip-ons, but love the look of the Big Radius and would like to know if they're loud.

thanks

No

Small amount of popping on decel is normal. Could be rich or lean.... Mine did it when it was to lean...either way, its a minor adjustment. I dont use a power commander, so...

Are the rubber grometts seated properly? Is there any scrape markes identifying impact? Do you "feel" it as well or just hear it?

V&H pipes are good pipes. Straight out performance you would need to go to a 2-1 pipe. Are they loud....YES.

I'll only comment on 3.

The clunk is pretty common on the dyna models after just a few miles. It is likely in the front end, not the tank lift. I just checked my fall away when it started clunking. It was fine, so I just forgot about it. Don't bother me in the least. I just ride the hell out of it and igonore it. It gives the bike character.

1. Nope not at all

2. I use a SERT and it runs like a top...

3. I dont have his tank lift yet.. but alot of guys report the "clunk"... try a heavy to super heavy grade fork
oil barring any signs of actual physical/ metal to metal contact after a thorough inspection on your part

4. I dont use them, I have SE IIs.. wish they were a bit louder that they are...

Popping on decel should be eleminated by dyno tune, make him do it again .

Check the rear tank bolt ,it's probably loose.

Good luck

The clunk should NOT happen. I'm pretty sure the clunk inmine iscaused by loose steering head bearings.Provided all your tank mounts are tight it's really the only thing that can cause it. Tapered bearings need very little play to make a fair bit of noise, but the noise definitely shouldn't be there.
