the answer is directly dependant on your budget.

Standard deal for most folks out there is a basice Stage I - intake, exhaust, and download and/or tuner (PCIII, Race Tuner, etc). Your options just in this category alone will range between around $500 and $1000, depending on the pipes and such.

The 96" engine with a high flow intake and exhaust will give you reasonable performance... won't be a race bike, but it won't be a slug either.

It just goes up from there and you need to find a balance between your wants and your wallet. If you have deep pockets and you want to show up your friends on the straight aways... go for the Stage II 103"...basically a bigger displacement, cams, intake, and exhaust. the larger bore does not make this a Stage II, its the cams (FYI).

Those pipes wont help you much. To get the most HP out of a set of pipes you'll want to be looking into a 2 into 1 set up. I believe Thunder Headers are pretty high on the performance chart. So is the Reinhart 2 into 1 pipe. Actually a good set of slip ons might provide you with better performance then the Big Radius. You want the best combination of free flow air with some back pressure. Again this is what you'll want to do for true performance not style in my opinion. I don't personally care for the look of a 2 into 1 system on my street bob so I went with slip ons.

Anyone care to elaborate?

2 into 1 is the way to go for more pipe performance. My indy raves about the Thunderheader, but like Cabo, I don't like the looks of 2 into 1's and will sacrifice some hp for a better look.

I am running an '01 Wide glide 88 ci. Started with a simple jet kit and screamin eagle pipes, helped a little.
After doing some research I went with ported and polished heads and increased valve size,
a red shift 570 cam, 42 mm mikuni carb and V&H pipes. My bike eats 96 ci for breakfast.
