There are a lot of 20 year olds buying new H-D's. Maybe not "kids" but younger riders and my point was that these are the people HD is trying to hook. That was the original reason for Willie G to come up with the Dynas. The Bobbers are catching on again, I think because they are more ridable than some of the other builds.
The "look at me!" bikes I mean are the ones with a 300 tire on the rear and are basically unridable for more that 20 miles, a lot like some of the choppers were in the 60's and 70's with crazy rakes and the front wheel a mile ahead of the rest of the bike. My point was that they were going after the new style choppers to attract the younger crowd.
Well I'm 24 and I would take an old bobber over a new school crazy chopper anyday! I think that alot of people that don't ride just don't appreciate the bobbers. Thus, a lot of riders see the choppers as played out and impractical. A guy I work with told me that all the custom builders "were just copying the occ bikes." I guess the Paul Jr and Sr invented choppers.
But don't let me speak for all the "kids", I have always liked older music, cars and women as well. By the way, anyone under thirty who has been to war should be exempt from the term "kid".
I wish that were the case DH... but it aint.. when I was under 30 and had been in the service of our dear government for awhile, I was still called "kid" long after I'd left the military and even after I moved on to my next career path... oh well... I just learned to use it to my advantage...

mud
Mud, I'm not trying to start an argument here... but I believe the PB&J was invented by Orange County Sandwiches. They have a show called "American Lunch Meat" on the discovery channel. The real question though is wether to go with old school white bread and "bob" the crust, or the flashy new school whole grain wheat.
