Chad,

True track recommends a specific ad on piece to their rear mount which I have with taller shocks. Sputhe doesn't have that option. With that being said I would recommend the true track rear stabilizer with the arm that is for taller shocks.

The Predator is excellent up front, and if they made a rear I'd get it in a heartbeat. But they don't, only fronts. That said, I don't see too many options for the rear: Pretty much only Sputhe, True Track, Chopper Hauss, Custom Cycle Engineering, but not much else.

I'm not taking this on the track, but I'd like to get the rear mount tightened up a bit.

Any recommendations?

Yeah your ability to keep it on the road isn't a huge selling point my friend...

The Chopper Hauss version (simply for political reasons) is on my top 3 list. Though I am leaning towards a new stock mount and a true-track simply for a) easier install and b) retaining most of the comfort of the stock mount while gaining the lateral stability of the TT. Still not sure though...

Another vote for Kinetic Structures. I have a '14 Low Rider.

I had problems with Drag, explained in this video.

You recorded that? Turn in your Dyna owners card. At 6:13 - “Fat boy”? Not a Dyna my friend…! You should be ashamed of yourself!

Not my first mistake. But you can have my Dyna when you pry my fingers off the grips. 😃

So, what did you end up going with @Mchad ?

I just ordered a Sputhe setup and am debating motor mounts since I'm going to swap them at the same time regardless of condition. I thought I read somewhere (can't find it now) that Sputhe recommends going with stock mounts.

That may have come from me. I went with the Predator front mount and wanted a stabilizer on the rear as well. I called Sputhe and asked if they would sell just the rear (they would) and asked if there was a particular mount they recommended. They were adamant that the factory part was the one to go with, so that's what I did.

Change them both at the same time. I changed the front first. The Predator can self adjust over a wide range until you finally tighten it up. When I then installed the rear mount, the whole engine was about 1/4-3/8" too far back for the new mount.

You're probably right that it was you. I've been digging through these older threads for a couple days to get a feel for what people were using. The plan, as it stands right now it to go with stock front and rear since I already dropped about 400 on the Sputhe. Hopefully the mounts aren't on backorder.
