I've been around awhile, just picked up a 2017 FB with only 600 miles on it!
This is my 1st Dyna & not necessarily my main ride...I'm thinking about 2 into 1 along with cams. Anyway happy to be here!
Sold my RGS bought this & a RK ;😜
I traded down from a 2016 Road Glide Special to a 2017 Fat Bob. I made a lot of changes to the Fat Bob to where it doesn't really look like one anymore but I'm happy with it. Enjoy the new ride.
Many years ago, I went from an FXDXT to the then new Fat Bob after a good test ride. Only the Harley crowd seems to think a bike under 900lbs ISN'T suitable for "touring". 30 states, 6 provinces and 2 trips to Sturgis later I still don't get that line of thought. Enjoy yourself!

Nice move on the two for one trade. I liked my first dyna so much that I have two of them now. Enjoy.

I wouldn't call that a downward trade if you ended up with something that suits you better, but that's just me. I always felt that none of the different models are "better" than any of the other. I've got a friend who can easily afford any model HD but has ridden to all lower 48 on a (gasp) Sportster. He's owned a few big twins over the last 40 years, but has always gone back to a Sportster after a year or so.
Is there a thread with pics of the changes you've made? If not, If not, maybe post a pic here if the OP doesn't mind?

Isn't that the truth? I don't get that either. Are you going to Sturgis this year? I'd like to see your bike in person.

I started a thread when I was done with what I had done up to that point. I think you liked it. I've since took off the engine guard. I didn't like how it would grab my big toe when I'd hit the rear brake. I'll be mounting some saddlebags soon. I have some Saddlemens I need to fb up some semi quick detach hardware for.
