Default Peg mounting bracket on dyna frame

Does the bracket on the frame where you would mount forwards or highway pegs need to be drilled or tapped in order to be used? I’m at work and can’t look at it right now. The last time I checked it it almost looked like it needed to be drilled or tapped. Thanks. It’s on my 2017 Street Bob.

Nope, threaded from the factory. Just has little plastic plugs in the holes.

I mounted a Bung King crash bar on mine and didn’t have to do anything but bolt it on.

Aaahh so it’s plastic plugs that I’m seeing. I was wondering why the holes looked sealed.

You'll want to chase those threads before you use them, they'll likely be rusty since those plugs aren't very effective.

Yes, as everyone says, they are black plastic plugs. I added mid pegs to my Wide Glide to hold my custom floorboads and had to remove them. A sharp knife will take them right out and, as mentoned, chase the threads before use, Threads are 3/8-16 and if you are using standard Harley bolts. they have a 45 Torx head.
