Don't you just hate it when you buy a new piece of chrome or accessory, you put it on and you don't like it. Not the "look" you were going for. Does this happen to others?

It happened to me with some Willie and Max saddlebags. I thought they would look pretty nice, but I just didn't like it. I figured I would use them for longer trips, but when packing for a two week road trip last month, I just couldn't find enough stuff to put in them. Just not for me.
So, if anyone wants some never used saddlebags, PM me and make me an offer!

Yep...Chrome dash extension....was one of the first parts I bought...[:'(]talk about ugly! Plus it was chromed plastic.....the really sad part was that it was 70 bucks! took it off after a few weeks and it already had scratches all over it that i reckon came from my jacket...needless to say i put the leather piece back on and am loving it

Know the feeling ... thankfully in Europe I can usually get my costs back due to the stupidly high prices charged here for anything HD branded (I buy them stateside).

YEAH - really sucks if it was an expensive part - but that's why they invented swap meets and the 'Parts Classified' section on the forum here. And a few friends every now and again buy a few things off me. Ya lose a few bucks and live and learn, but it's all part of the process gettin' the bike the way ya want it - really helps to ask around the forum first and check out other members' bikes!
