Sold my 01 Wide Glide to my son and took his Buell on trade. He decided he wanted a cruiser (told you so's given appropriately). Went to trade the Buell in a got a great deal on an '07 Street Bob. This was about three weeks ago. I regretted the decision for several weeks as the bike was nearly completely stock. I spent several days wondering what on earth I was going to do knowing I would get hammered on trying to trade in a bike with less than 500 miles on it.
Last week the new pipes (Rush slip ons) and forward controls came in and were installed on the bike as we had agreed on. I AM IN LOVE. With the forward controls this bike fits me better than the Wide Glide did. I could not be more happy with my purchase. I did not realize how much difference riding posture could make. Now everyone is happy and I can start racking up some miles (and start the chroming process)on my first brand new Harley.
congrads man... the customizing never ends! there are a ton of little odds and ends you can do for real cheap if not free to give your bike a custom look!
may i ask what size person you are? i am looking into a dyna street bob also....i am 5'11", 220 and my girlfriend likes to ride also...my sportie is just not comfortable for 2 people...
I am about 5' 10" and go about 180 or 190 around Christmas. My wife likes the pillion and medium low back rest that I got thrown in on the deal, better than the seat on the Wide glide. The forwatrd controls are a must (at least for me).
