After looking around at some saddlebags for my Dyna, I'm forced to come to the reality that I'll have to relocate my rear turn signals from the side of the rear fender to somewhere where the license plate is. Does anyone know how to relocate them? I mean is there a kit that I can buy for that purpose?
I have a '07 Street Bob. I looked at the tube style kit, it might be a bit cleaner looking, but you have to mess with the wires more. I bought this one:
Just needed to remove the connectors from the turn signal wires so that I could get the wires through the holes. Just Google "harley turn signal relocation kit instructions" and you'll find the instructions for the tube style. With this one, no wire cutting needed.
The only thing I had to do that the Harley kit includes was to drill a hole in the license plate mounting bracket for the wires to pass through.
Took about an hour or so, wasn't in a rush to get it done.
I like the nice clean installation that utilizes the stock stand-offs that are already on your turn signals. I've used mine for 12 or 13 years now, first on my '07 Street Bob, and currently on my '12 Superglide. I've got over 100,000 miles on it with no problem.
You can make something of your own or maybe modify something you find if it ain't an exact fit
Man, thats pretty slick
