Thanks for the input fellers. While I do agree that they don't compliment the lines of the scooter, they are a far sight more comfortable than the plow handles I switched them out for.
I believe I'll keep them for now, and.......if, I decide to switch them out , I can do it this coming winter. Lord willingAnd yea ! I do need to clean up the garage.👍😂🤣😂🤣. Believe it or not, it's in better shape than times past. The little woman like to collect stuff.😉😁
The sharp corners on those bars dont go with anything on any Harley. Everything is round or curved like a good woman and then people ad those stupid angular bars that just dont flow. All ya needed to do was change the grips to black ones and leave the bucks.
Some folks like ham can air cleaners too.
I like my ox blood grips.😉
I removed my 10" stock buckhorns and went with 10" apes but needed to lower the 4" pull back risers so the wires reached.
Went with 2" but missed the height so I went with 14's and extended the wires, used solid bushings and it feels way better.
I went from this
To each their own. If it works for you that's all that matters.
Top photo is how she sits today. (Kind of)

To me it looks great and 100% better than those old man buckhorns. I know it will be a total PITA with those bars, but those wires want to go internal, just sayin'.
Your bike enjoy it. High and narrow bars for the win!!!!
I think they look pretty cool, I have a 95 Convertible too, and just like you I removed those shitty buckhorns. I went with a set of mini apes, but I might swap those out for a set of drag bars off a Night Train.
I think if you went with smaller mirrors and internal wires your bars would look a lot better.
