Finished the mods on my Dyna
GlidePro motor mounts, Sputhe Stabilizer front and rear, CS Custom aluminum swing arm, Billet pulley, Cat grade 9 pulley bolts with a shoulder to support the pulley and rim, Hughes pulley bolt locks.
Next is Ohlins or Wilbers rear shocks, Fork cartridges!
Going to be 61 years old in June and street motorcycles have part of me since around 18, I started off on a 65 XLCH with drum brakes and pogo sticks for dampers 🤣
The last twenty years have been Ducatis and my V Rod, funny it seems we come around to what we once rode Air cooled and push rods & Pogo sticks for dampers!
Also did Ceramic wheel bearings and an HD Lipo battery.
believe it when I say everything so far is an big Improvement in handling, bike keeps a line while leaned over and feels so much more confident and no longer small imperfections upset tracking causing it to steer using the drivetrain.
Once I finish setting up the Suspension then I will move on to engine performance.
picked this bike up at an Estate sale with 6700 miles. It was completely stock and not altered and finding a Twin Cam untouched is getting hard.
my thoughts are just build it and improve the power for the street, Andrews 48 cams, Good set of cylinder heads and change the primary gearing.
FYI: Here's my engine; I really like the S&S E-Z starts...reliable no-kickback starting every time. I still have the stock 96" heads; that would be the next area of improvement if I wanted to spend more money on this bike. Right now I have a 1974 XLCH eating those fun funds...
