I purchased a 2002 dyna came equipped with a screamin eagle big bore kit, Mikuni carburetor, screamin eagle intake I believe and I just installed vance and hines short shot exhaust and just recently purchased a vance and hines jet kit for it . Wanted input if this would help improve performance greatly and how much difference would I see ?
If it came with the SE big bore kit and a Mikuni, it has already been jetted so LEAVE IT ALONE. Good luck living with those Short Shots, the sound is nice but the performance will suffer. Kills low end torque.

Friends don't let friends run Short Shots. There are much better exhaust systems for your Dyna.

If my short shots are killing my low end torque I'd never know it (or hear it). I rode my Dyna Street Bob today after having ridden my Street Glide exclusively for the past few weeks, and even though they are both TC 103 engines, damn does my Dyna rip the bars out of my hands compared to the Street Glide.
I didn't put the short shots on the Dyna. I do think they look cool, but they certainly let you know you're riding a Harley-Davidson--it's shocking that even drag pipes could be louder. In fact I think I've had quieter drag pipes on a Sportster.
