Default Need help identifying a part - 04 Dyna Lowrider EFI

I dropped my bike in my driveway this evening and I noticed oil appeared to be leaking out of the end of this hose. I'm trying to figure out what this hose is for and if I need to take it in for service due to it leaking. Any help would be appreciated!

Did you follow the hose to its source.....????

It may be an external vent for the head breathers... can't tell in the pic where the hose comes from...

If it's an external breather hose, a little oil dripping out of it from time to time, especially after a long and/or fast freeway run, isn't a big thing..

I usually run mine down to the bottom frame tube, behind the transmission. That way any drips don't get on the bike or in the path of the rear tire.

If a lot of oil is coming from an external breather vent hose, it could be a sign of excessive blow-by needing some investigation...

Here's a pic of the external breather hose for my 2003 Heritage. The pic was prior to mme adding heat resistant covers on the hose:

Here's the breather hose on my 2016 Bagger, that I made for a friend with the parts labelled. It has the heat resistant covers on the hose:

No it's not what this guy said^

It's a transmission vent tube. That was gear fluid that came out

The hose on elbow p/n is 42533-91A and should have a goose neck at the other end. The larger diameter hose does look like a vent hose from another source. If you take it to a dealership I doubt they would work on it due to it's age. A lot of dealerships won't work on anything older than 10 years old. It's easy to pull the battery then remove the battery holder, you can see a lot when the batt. holder is out of the way. As previously mentioned, sounds like transmission oil leaked out.

Suggestion change the fittings on the shift rod and replace with Hiem fittings, much more durable.
