Default 94 FXDWG clutch

Picked up a fxdwg and the clutch feels like a front brake when squeezing it. Adjusting the cable by the mid cable adjusters don’t do it, nor does the clutch adjuster screw in the primary. I have new ***** and a new ramp. Not sure what the issue could be.

Possible clutch plates stuck together, depends on how long it was sitting. Ya gota pull the primary cover to change out the ramp and inspect the clutch while yer in there. Check the clutch pushrod ball ends for wear too.

I might should add that it has a kicker on it. It’ll start up fine in neutral, but I can’t operate the clutch. Like I said it feels like it’s tight like the brake even when adjusting every which way.

As noted, time to pull the primary and get into the clutch…something’s amiss.

Just picked it up? Get a deal?

You have 2 conflicting threads running.. This one with a stock 5 speed with a clutch problem and in this thread https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...d-options.html
A kicker.. Now is the clutch problem before or after the kicker install?????? AND which thread shows the current condition of your bike and what are the problems.. Your kinda all over the place. Just like your other thread with the carb..

I have 3 threads, 3 different issues..

smoke happened since I got it, the kicker kit came with the bike I just put it on, the clutch had issues before as well. And the exhaust is another thread. Not trying to be cryptic, I just wanted to spread them out.

Current state of bike. I know there’s two exhausts in there, I’m just using the one to keep the exhaust opening blocked from debris and so I can figure out which exhaust I’ll need to avoid the kick

Instead of asking What Could Be Wrong questions, TEAR IT APART AND INSPECT IT.
