I am looking for some help. Last winter I swapped out my rear fender for a RWD full fender, and used Moons MC base plate and tail light with integrated turn signals with their load equalizer. Everything seemed to be functioning properly up until a couple weeks ago where the red LED running light was no longer illuminated. I contacted Mooms and they said to bring it to dealership to get ECM flashed for another bike. I brought my bike in and the dealership said they were unable to do that. I contacted a local independent shop, and the tech said he's never heard of that and questioned Moons techs diagnosis. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
Yeah, why would you need a software flash if it worked correctly for ~8 months? Check the installation, check the wiring to confirm the line from the bike to the tail light is coming on, then tell them you've determined it's the unit that is bad.
