Hey Blue, that would be great! Maybe hit farther upstate this time, who knows? If you guys have a weekend in mind, give me a shout via PM or here.

Super, I my skills are more in the wrenching area, not paint so I had the painting done locally by a friend who owns an auto body shop. The color is the stock Sierra Red and as for the fender, I bought it through a place that closed their doors in May of this year. The same fender is available through cas4.com, the part # is VT500116 about $85.00 or at American Legends Motorcycle http://www.legendmcs.com/Fenders/front-fenders.html the part number is 13-242 for $67.95.

The fender comes a little rough and may need some TLC, but it was the look I wanted and was worth the extra work.

Thanks for the info.
I need to get a new fender anyway and that is look I was trying to find without switching the forks out. The price is right too for a customfender compared to buying a new stock one from HD. Mine is Real Teal which was a one year color, so it's different to start with.

You can get a quart of paint/hardener from the dealer, they can look it up for you or you may find an auto paint store that can match the color for you for less cash. The Harley paint is about $145.00/qt. and the hardener is another few bucks, not cheap, but real good quality material so painting the fender to match the rest of the bike shouldn't be too hard.

Thanks for the price info.
Did you have to modify the fender to fit or have any clearance problems?

I have an engine guardwhichfits with the forward controls that had hit the current fender a couple of times and dented it pretty good so I need to solve that problem first before I install a new fender. Most people don't see it but I know it's there. [:@]
I figured might as well get something different and I always liked the looks of the Duo-Glides and Springers.I will definitely be ordering one.

Your's turned out really nice.
Thanks for sharing and helping out.
