sorry it was a late one at work. yeah it is a 180 55 17, some said it couldn't be done and some said it could. IT CAN. it handles great and as you can see from the picture it seems to be holding up well for a few good burnouts and a weekend at the ROT rally. i have put right at 2000 miles on it with little wear. the belt and pullys are stock, the only thing i have done is run my turn signal wires in the strut covers and with no tailight on the fender there is no wires for it. other than that nothing else. if you need some more pics have more questions, ask away
Yep ! I was told months ago by RC componets that they made a rim that you could put a 180/55 18" tire on and it would work fine. The rim folks don't make 17" rims. only H-D does.
I got a 170/60 17 on my Wide glide as a test before I tried the 180 wheel. That's why I said I got a 160/70 17" tire for sale that's got 900 miles on it. I went with Metzler 880 tires on my scoot too.

Always eager to see more pics of a cool mod. Post at your convenience. As much as a stickler as I am over details I think I'd like to have the tread design of a metz 880 or an Avon (venom?) to look at.
