Wished I could help, I've rode springer front end's back in the 70's. The springer front end is heavier and the ride is a lot different . To me the springer requires more work to ride them.
I like the Wide Glide front end better that the springer. Just my 2 censt.

I believe the only hurdle for mounting the HD springer for the softie is the internal stop vs the external. People have worked around it. Or there are many other options from aftermarket companies. One I talked to was willing to build one for my 06 WG. I plan to put a springer on my WG too, heavely leaning in the direction of the dragon by american suspension, the link is below.

I also thought highly of this one too.

Appreciate the links. If you google Jeri Springer Front Ends (and no, not the Jerry Springer Show) he said he would build one for about $3500.

Go to Jireh cycles, do a search on their site for springer front ends. You can get a stock one for $500.00 .Call them and see if they are any good. Let us know, Dave...

DNA makes a pretty decent springer.....we have used alot of them, less than 500.00 in chrome.

Not sure if you have gone one way or another. But I just ordered and recieved my front end from astro6500 (Ted) from ebay. Great front end, internal shocks, roller bearings in rockers, all top notch and a great deal. Wish I had time to install to post pics and install infobut I leave for work and won't be back till Oct so will post then. Just posting some info you or others whomay be interested.
