I've always had sportys but now the financial picture is better so I am thinking about a streetbob. I'll keep the sporty for the o/l. Have you guys had good luck with them and what are some of their quirks?
Only quirks I've notice is it just keeps wanting to go faster, and faster, and faster ....
Oh, and the Street Bob (as does most any harley) has a voracious appetite for new parts!!!!!!!! Seat, pipes, risers, air cleaner cover, suspension, intake, engine management system, etc all scream out to be changed! Wonder if that's where harley got the name Screaming Eagle? Anyway, each Bob has it's own taste for parts, and they all come out just a little (or a lot) different after feeding.
Be aware that the '08s have integrated risers w/the triple trees - can't change risers easily on the new ones. Maybe not a big deal to most but glad I got an '07.
Don't do it too many on the road ...
So many here in florida I had to change my look of mine. All kidding aside great bike but there's more Aftermarket parts for your Sporty than the Dyna
I just switched from a Sporty to a Street Bob andI am loving it so far.Very powerful and smooth. I have seen some complaints about vibration but most of the people must have not ridden a Sporty before or forgot what a vibrating machine feels like. The Dyna is way smoother.

I see you like drag handlebars and blacked out engines. May wanna consider the Night Train too. Counterbalanced motor, no visible shocks, fat rear tire.
Can't lose either way. The Bob is an awesome bike too.
