Yeah, and the oil lamp should be a plastic oil bottle rather than a can, the turn signal lamps should be round and orange, and the key shaped alarm lamp should be a fist hitting a face. Darn modern international symbols!
[sm=icon_rofl.gif]... Oh No ... not again... surely not Mud.. the post number is way too high..
BTW I'd guess in answer to your question that HD is just practicing the KISS theory of notification when the dash lights lightup... be my guess anyways..
Yeah, realized that. I was being silly, too. Since I got my 07, the engine light reminds me everytime I start 'er up how the world is slowly molding everything and everybody into one boring, souless mass. The "Pussification of the American male" is even creeping into my beloved two-wheeled symbol of Americanna. I can handle the EFI and security alarm, but if my steed just has to have that blasted little lamp, it SHOULD be in the shape of a V-Twin. Would look dern cool, too. I would even like to see that everytime I kick 'er, I mean thumb 'er, to life.
ya i thought it was a trans symbol first till my indy mech told me it was just the engine light and it could be anything really, my dad and i always called them idiot lights and preferd gauges as they were a better guess as to where the prob was. the v motor would be a **** lookin symbol
