Default Nut Size?????

Hey Dyna Folks, Anyone know the Nut Size on the Ground Cable on a 2013 Switchback? I'm going to Fabricate a Wrench to get to it, because its hidden behind all the ABS Stuff. The Positive Cable was 1/2 a turn loose on the Starter, from the Factory.... THANKS in advance!

Here is absolute truth in you can't judge a book by it's cover, or in this case a post by it's title. LOL

I cannot figure out why a Chaplin would want to know a losing throw of 2, 3, or 12 in a casino game?
BTW a Coconut is much larger than a Peanut.

Typically, a 1/4" nut takes a 7/16" wrench.

Yeah, it's not a hard and fast rule, but on "standard" hardware the fastener size plus 3/16" will get you the tool size.

On 1/2" diameter and larger, the wrench size will be diameter +1/4", although we don`t see too much hardware this size on motorcycles.

Yeah, you're right! I was focused on the size in question and didn't think that far outside the box, so to speak!

Actually, it changes again at an inch, or something like that, but that's not a size I encounter often enough to worry about. Maybe for axle nuts, but I think they're probably outside the guidelines anyhow.

Wow, in all the years I have been wrenching on bicycles, to motorcycles, cars, boats, trucks, and RVs.... I never heard of those guidelines.

Not sure I've ever used/needed a formula to grab a tool... But that is good to know and cool guidelines..

Learn something new every day....
