Default tank console insert kit?

Sup fellas,

I wanna get rid of the leather tank panel, and wonder if there is any kinda insert kit just to fill the hole right underneath the console only but nothing else hanging down. I just couldn't find any, other than just another leather replacements. If you do know what it calls or where to find plz share with me, much appreciated.

What year and model?
It's called a tank bib.
I believe you have split tanks and the "hole" goes
all the way down to the seat.

I've been looking for the last couple of years for a 'gap filler' for that part of the console and haven't found one yet. I think you may have to find someone who can make one on a 3D printer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

His bike looks like a late model FXDC. I've got one of those, definitely a one piece tank.

Yeah, I've wanted to remove the bib also and plug that opening. I haven't found one either.

What Hole? ... The parts breakdown doesn't show anything to "Fill"

If you remove the tank bib, a pretty sizable gap remains under the console. I personally like the look without the bib, and don't like that the gap would allow water under there as there's a bit of wiring under the console.

Cut the existing bib to fill the gap.
It's a pressure fit anyway. Just blacken it at the cut.

Oh I see, it's a gap ... I don't think it's that big of deal to leave out. The original leather didn't "seal" it perfectly, but I can appreciate someone wanting to put something there to at least reduce the opening. Could just trim the leather flush with that dash panel (like mentioned above)

If there wasn't anything aftermarket, I would probably find some black rubber with the thickness of the gap and either glue in or attach to the "stand-offs" that the leather attached to. Alternately I might temporarily "bend" / attach a thin strip of metal across the gap to use a "Form", then fill with black silicone or some sort of liquid rubber.

Yeah I've been thinking about that, thanks.

I've been thinking about that too. As it stands I'm probably going to sell that bike anyway. I noticed that the OP's tank bib curled up on the edges the same way mine did.
