I swear this is how it came off but every Pic I see this spacer is not behind the nut. The manual shows one behind the shaft extension but my manual has had errors in it. Thanks.
How many miles on that primary, that front sprocket looks to be pretty worn you can tell by how pointy the teeth are.. The loose fit of the chain on the sprocket will wear to chain quicker as well. What does the rear sprocket on the basket look like?
That spacer belongs there; look at the parts manual if you have it or Ronnies Parts. Being on the outside does not affect sprocket alignment. Agree with Fatboy, that crank sprocket is pretty pointy.
