Hey all. Let me preface this post by writing that i have done the research on this site and and tested a bunch of things, but now I am throwing my hands up...
I am a daily rider and having to resort to the cage is not to my liking or good for my mental well being.
06 FXDLI with stage I upgrades. previously the idle would stick over 3,000 when i pulled in the clutch it would not return to normal until i came to a full stop.
I changed the IAC and that issue went away, however now the bike "sputters" in between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm. Idle is fine. Starts up with no issue.
Throttle and idle cables are adjusted properly. Not throwing codes that seem to be related to this issue, this morning i saw P1353 (Front Cylinder No Combustion EFI). I will check the front injector connection again and maybe replace it (I have a spare),
Any advice is appreciated.
I also will be getting a tuner in the near future to see what is going on and perhaps make changes as needed.
Have checked a couple of things, 1) the disconnect at the gas tank for the injectors, 2) check the vent in the fuel cap, nice home for little spiders. While you have gas cap off, turn on the ignition and listen for fuel splashing in the tank. If it is the "in tank" fuel line may have a hole in it.
It might be one of the two below issues. Click on the blue arrow's for more info.
Move the injector wires around and see if there is any change in the idle.

If your below a half tank of fuel, look in the tank and see if there is any fuel spraying out of the fuel lines or connections.

I think the fix would be to use Gates SAE 30R10 Submersible Fuel Line, using a shorter length so that it doesn't hit the tank walls, and/or putting tie wraps on those contact points. Harley only sells the one line from the tank quick disconnect to the regulator/filter, the other line requires you to buy the fuel pump.
Thanks everyone that has replied, I could not figure out the issue and I bit the bullet and dropped her off at the dealer for service today.
I should know by middle of next week what is going on.
fingers crossed...
Did you bring it up to New Rochelle? We were on our way upstate one a couple of years ago and my buddies charging system went.. Long story short they got us in immediately and took care of us very well.. Great place..
