Default Are all years Dyna forward controls interchangeable???

Hey guys I'm sure this has been covered but I didn't have any luck from the ol' search box! I have a 2010 Super Glide Custom FXDC that I want to put forward controls on. I found a fella selling a set from a 2017 Dyna with arlen Ness pegs and shifter for $140. Will those (or any year/make/model) be a direct fit to my bike? Forgive my ignorance and thanks for any help/input!

Easy way to find an answer? Look it up yourself on ronniesharleypartsfinder. com. Go from year to year and check OEM part numbers. Same numbers? They fit.

OEM Wide glide pegs are about 1” higher. Had the Wide glide pegs on my FXDC. Found out that there was also a OEM set that was lower, and was the right one for my bike.

I can't speak for aftermarket options....

However, the Harley accessory "Standard Dyna Forward Controls" kit, part #49080-06A will fit your bike and has everything you need for the install.

They list their fitment as; "Fits '06-'17 DynaŽ models with mid-controls. FLD models require separate purchase of footpegs."

The HD forward controls are a good accessory and guaranteed to fit, but they are not cheap. Purchased from HD they cost $499.95.

I'm selling a new kit (never installed) on eBay for a little bit less. However if you are on a strict budget, you may be able to find a used set for less. Just keep checking eBay for "Harley #49080-06A"

Good luck with your mod.

If you install highway pegs instead of forward controls, you save money and get the best of both worlds.

You might want to take a look at the further forward mid controls. They move the mids up a few inches, but you can still romp on them like nothing.

My bike already has them. I just did a daddy long legs seat from lepera, and instead of movuing the pegs, I moved me back a couple inches. Worked out well.

Wish I had a definitive answer for your question, but, without part numbers for the kit you're buying anything I tell you would be a guess.

Stretchman brings up a good point....

Again, not aftermarket (which tend to be cheaper), The MoCo makes 5 different sets of foot controls:

Mid-Controls
Further Forward Mid-Controls
Footboards
Reduced Reach Forward Controls
Standard Forward Controls

Here is a pic showing the relationship between the various foot controls and how they relate to each other
