TheLowriders factory rake is 32 degrees. Stretching it out to 35 should not affect the handling should it since the Wide Glide comes with more than a 32 degree rake from the factory I believe.Using the trail calculator..the figure I end up with is stock as is (5.32)...adding the3 degree raked trees fromAccutronix I end up with (3.35).
My questionis...is that an acceptable amount of trail for a 96 Lowrider that it will still handle good?
It will effect handling by how much I can't say for sure. The wideglide frame has a different neck angle to compensate for the extra rake. I have heard that from 3 to 6 is ideal trail . There is angle cups ( 3 degree)you can use to compensate if nessary. You may find that you won't need them.
Thanks guys...I appreciate it. I found another thread on here on raking a Superglide my changing my search words again and that also gave me some good information.
