Default Cleaning Tips

I want to keep my bike looking clean but hate having to wash it all the time to get the dust and bugs off of it. I know they make sprays and other stuff to use to keep it clean. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

Before I ride, I just have a bucket of really hot water, with cloth, remove bugs and **** and if your water is hot enough, it will dry up by itself.....

I live on gravel; washing for me is pretty much useless. I use compressed air and blow it off every couple of days. About every other week I spray it off w/ hot water, and make sure to rinse the belt and pulleys off real good. If I'm going for as multi-day ride, I'll wash it at one of my townie friends house usingthe S 100 I have stashed...

Agree with lemon pledge. Quick and cheap! Painted surfaces, chrome, etc.

I use a California Duster (a little mop like thing, coated with parafin) to pick up the dust off the paint, and then a spray detailer ( Eagle One is my favorite). Both of these can be bought anyplace that sells car cleaning supplies. Any glass cleaner will shine up the chrome. Armor All or similar for the seat and bags, tire foam on the tires if they need it.

I use the S 100 detail wax in the white spray can with the blue cap... it works wonders.. it cleans off all of the bugs and others gunk really well and polished the bike at the same time... Just make sure you always use a clean soft cloth
