Dennis Kirk sells them for 3,730 pesos.. Argh.. ...
Yeah, that 6115 math was faulty somehow. It was 199 bucks from FM.

Heads showed up the other day, looking good!

Test fit the LeatherPros. I NEVER thought I'd add bags to any bike that I owned so this is a big departure for me...I am digging them though.

Plumbed up the oil pressure gauge. I might redo this with some Teflon tape, I'm concerned that it's not tight enough but given that I need that outlet on the top I'd have to go another 360 to go tighter and the last thing I want to do is crack the case.

Jugs in the house for a good cleaning.

Woods Platinum lifters in with new gloss black tappet covers.

First jug down and 2nd set of lifters and tappet block cover installed.

Working on the 2nd jug.

Buttoned up and waiting for head install, maybe this week? The polished fins really change the look of the bike since they were all black before. Not sure I like it just yet, we'll see.

Looking good.. Once your up running and riding you'll never notice the polished fins. The smile factor will be overwhelming.. 😃

Was on same fence about the highlighted fins. eBay heads were highlighted so that was the deal on the jugs.

Now I’m kind of happy with how it turned out.

Can I just do the same as with the jugs? Dawn and hot water followed by contact cleaner or degreaser? Is there any rubber in the valve setup that I need to be careful of?

Valve seals, but they are pretty resistant. Maybe use carb cleaner on the passageways instead, but I expect you would be ok with most anything for the short exposure...

Thanks for the info. I've been using Maxima contact cleaner for a min, and there are types of rubber and plastic and even paint that gets chewed up by it. I think I'll keep it away from the heads.

I would stay away from Teflon tape. If you ever have to take it apart you'll be forever trying to fish out all the threads of Teflon tape. Better to use pipe dope.
