The electric panel cover PULLS OFF. Those torx head bolts hold the fuse panel in.

Dyna fusebox cover. It pulls off but it sure screws with people (no pun intended) with those two bolts on the side. Ask me how I know

Depends on the year...97 are 4 bolts on the side of the cover. No bolts on top.

So simple, yet so tough to figure out.

Keep it up folks, I deserve the public ridicule and flogging. Something so simple yet confounding by the deception of allen bolts holding the fuse cover on.

I wasnt knocking on you, it befuddled me too a couple years ago. Took me an hour of fiddling around to figure it out.

Oh please! LOL

I am a big guy. When someone says" just pull a little harder and it will pop right off". Well, I break stuff. "Just pull up a littler harder on the door handle, it will open" - door handle of car is now in my hand, detached. (went to auto parts store to resolve hard opening issue and replace broken handle.

This bike was a minor project when I bought it, tires, fluids, brakes from sitting. I just wanted to see what was behind the cover to make sure the corrosion/humidity damage I was seeing didn't effect grounds and connections. Just preventative maintenance to make sure I didnt break down on the road. I had a Super Glide but the cover came off differently.

Similar to my 2000 FXDWG. Underneath mine is 4 nuts that hold the "Cover mount Plate". That gives me access to the TSM, relays, and what I think is a diagnostic port.
Just pull the Cover off.
Just pull the Cover off.
Quick access to TSM, relays, and diagnostic port.
Remove the 4 nuts for access to TSM, relays, and diagnostic port.

Pulls off of 4 grommets

As you wish. It doesn't hurt to read the Owner's Manual before opening the tool box.
