That remaining bracket appears to be "homemade". I assume it is made of aluminum. If that's the case, where the L-shaped bracket is bent at 90° degrees is a stress point.

Your license plate assembly where the taillights are attached "Vibrate Alot". The weight of the added turn signals makes it vibrate more.

The L-shaped taillight bracket must be bent at 90° with consideration to the "grain in the metal". Also the bend radius must not be too small for the thickness of the metal. Just bending the metal 90° can create small stress cracks on the "outside" radius, if the metal is bent in the wrong direction.

The bracket looks like a "standard" free relocation bracket. It's not heavy enough for those turn signals (obviously) especially on a Harley. Maybe on a Goldwing...

If you use the ones from Choppy Bob (awesome deal!) make sure you come up with a much stronger bracket (the shorter base will help), otherwise find a set of light weight turn signals.

Get rid of the turn signal stalks and you will have less stress on the relocation bracket bolted to the license plate.

It's certainly a cheap part, it came with the Viking bags when I bought them,.although I never anticipated that it would vibrate and break like that. Once I have the new tail lamp I'm going to look at different options for mounting, probably a different type of relocation kit all together that will reduce that vibration and stress.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to use the ones he's sending me and they are already shorter. They're not all that heavy though, those housings are plastic of some sort. I've had it on there for 5 years and I just never anticipated that it would be a problem. I'm absolutely going to figure out some other mounting option.

I have the HD version of this on my Dyna. I've also used it on a Sportster as well. Its pretty solid.
