Default FXDF Docking hardware bracket

Hey guys, I ordered side docking hardware(without bracket) from revzilla so I can have a sissy bar but I'm now realizing that my bike only has the bracket on one side and fender washers on the other side... do I need the bracket or are washers good enough?

If I need the bracket, anybody have brackets they are no longer needing? Doesn't seem like v-twin mfg sells just the bracket so I'd have to buy the hardware all over again to get the bracket....

So, someone took it off your bike at some point for some reason. I'd look on eBay, I just found a set a few months back. Just be sure that both "shafts" are threaded as there are a few different versions of that bracket. For instance, the brackets that were on my Street Bob only had the front one threaded.

weird...are the distance between the two studs the same across all dyna models? I've been wondering this for both the docking hardware AND the detachable accessories

I believe so, I would stay within the year groups of '05 and down and '06-'17, but the fit might be universal across all years.

Edit: you'd be just fine having the bracket on one side and washers and nuts on the other, but it would kill me inside if it was my bike.
