rear caliper parts
yes all the pieces are there, it looks like just the top bolt has that plastic bushing while the lower one has a metal sleeve.
i can find 42143-08B
PIN, CALIPER SLIDER (UPPER) (NOT IN REF 1 ASSEMBLY) but from all the pics ive seen for sale it looks like just the bolt, no plastic sleeve which i
i need to find. mine is there but definately worn. the bolt with the sleeve..i can get but being all metal i wouldnt think its worn.
also looks like im going to have to replace the disk pin bolt..mine has grooves where the discs ride on it.
amazing how expensive these little parts are.
thanks for any help and to those that helped me with my previous parts questions. I did get my whole project done of removing the turn signal relocation kit and installing a hard mount sissy bar...along with other stuff...
The other problem you have you're in luck. The plastic bushing deteriorates and Ive needed to replace it also. The plastic bushing isn't listed as a replaceable part on their parts fische and HD wants you to buy a new caliper as the fix. I was able to trace the actual part and number. Ive included pics for you of what to ask your dealer for. They will tell you to buy a new caliper if you just ask for the bushing.
Hope it helps.
my plastic bushing is definately worn. the brake pad pin also had grooves worn into it so i sourced one of them and should have it today.
i messed up. this is in reply to Highwaymans post
