Hey guys, I have a 2010 wide glide with a stage 4 screamin eagle kit on it, Well I made the mistake of leaving ethanol fuel in there for too long without an additive and it did its damage so I had her taken to Harley dealer where they had the tank cleaned and recoated then replaced the complete fuel assembly . Well when I got the bike back the other day it only ha enough fuel in it to show RESERVE on my electric gauge . Well I then went and got a stable 360 and a full tank of 93 fuel, Well since I have poured the full tank from a jug into the tank and the stabile ... Even though its FULL my electronic gauge is showing reserve still... My aftermarket LED gauge is showing FULL.. Just not the miles per tank light... its stuck on RESERVE 13. Thats the first thing... Then the second thing is, OK if I turn the bike OFF and keep the RUN switch in the RUN postion, and turn the key, It makes a nice whirl of a fuel pump.... How I would expect.... BUT then if I turn it back OFF, and wait a min and have the RUN in the OFF switch, THEN turn the key ON, THEN click the run into RUN, it makes a LOUDER noise with a hum.... Not quite like the other... Can anyone help me with these? I would like some thoughts and AMMO before calling Harley . Not sure what you pasted from but only way I can read your thread..
Is the bike running OK?
I would take it in and demonstrate what you said and also show them the issue with the gage.
PS.. How long did you leave fuel in it? My 04 has always had ethanol fuel.
Never used an additive but bike only set about 5 months at most ever. Tank looks good inside.
Mikey's post..

IT runs great, I left regular fuel in for about a year... Then went to do the fuel pump myself and the COATING in the tank had started to FLAKE.there was no rust, but the coating was flaking off.. So I knew I couldnt just do the fuel pump and everything because it would suck that stuff into it.... But I pulled the fuel pump out anyways and the plastic lines cracked in my hands.... the SOCK was nowhere to be found, it injested part of the sock into the old pump. I just know when the pump went bad the first time my TRUE aftermarket harley digital light gauge was showing full, but the on board computer was showing LOW fuel... so this is semi doing the same thing... But now it took it to RESERVE 18 i think? but my other pin DOT gauge shows the proper level.... Most could say, Well you can just go by that gauge.... But I just paid all that money at the dealer, 1800.00 to pull tank , recoat it , and replace entire fuel assembly.
