Hi guys ! I'm new here. I currently ride '11 Wide Glide equipped with a FXRT fairing full built with pair of lower leg fairings and FXR clamshell saddlebags too. I do love my wide glide. It rides nasty and raw and never left me stranded. The only downside was manuevering and handling capability. I do find my wide glide lack of manuevering like lane filtering or lane filtering. One day, I found in IG, a guy named Anthony Hall, he swapped directly his wheels with a set of dyna switchback wheels. Damn, the look was so good. I'm intended to do the same as anthony did. The difference is anth's bike is naked without any fairing, meanwhile mine is full FXR faired. I do need your opinion guys since the wheels doesn't come cheap. Will it looks good for my bike using switchback wheels? I want to make my bike looks clubstyle performance oriented.
Wide Glide : front wheels size : 21 inch, rear wheels size : 17 inch
Switchback: front wheels size : 18 inch, rear wheels size : 17 inch
Personally I think the Switchback wheels are one of the best looking factory wheels. If I remember correctly they're called 'Vapor' wheels.
Got a chromed one on the back of my bike. I wanted to keep a 21" front wheel and dual rotors, neither of which are an option with the Vapor. But I like the mismatched look, like what Harley did for years on the FX softails.
That's beautiful 👍. okay, from the looks of your picture, I'm more assured to change my wheels. So do you think my wide glide will look good if I change both of the wheels to switchback's? I plan to change my triple tree to reduce the front rake degree
custom made. I live in Jakarta. it's pretty hard here to find branded stuff such as kraus, rebuffini, etc. there's a guy named java_cnc. they made really good quality cnc product.
