Default Suspension clearance

Going to switch out my shocks to a pair of Progressives. I want to increase the shock length. Thinking of going to 12.5" or 13".
Anyone has any clearance issues at this height?? I'm thinking the first thing to touch would be the swing arm mounted passenger peg on the exhaust.

On my 2013 Street Bob I went 1" over without issue.. In fact I have not heard of anyone going an 1" or even 2" over having interference..

I’ve had 13” on and had no issues. I’m running 13.75” now and added a kickstand spacer to compensate for the lean.

No worries at 13” other than a harder lean, mark the oil dipstick before and after so you have a baseline.

Do you have the stock pass pegs mounted to the swing arm??

You should also consider drive belt tension. Raising or lowering suspension might affect belt tension.

On my 2010 FXDB, I’ve previously had 12.6” Progressive shocks and I’m currently running 13.5” Bitubos.

No issues with the passenger footpegs.

Regarding the exhaust, I have a TBR 2-1, and there’s also no clearance problem.

As mentioned, check/adjust the belt tension.

And the bike will lean more when on the kickstand.

I've run 14" Legends, and the only clearance issue I had was with my Thunderheader. I'm running 13" Bitubos now and as mentioned, you'll likely need a kickstand block and if I were you, I'd look at adding an equal height on the front end also. I have passenger pegs mounted to the stock points on the swing arm and man, if you're leaning that far I think you'll have other issues first.

I think the only clearance issue I had was with my exhaust. Had to reduce my shock length a little bit and was fine moving forward.

How do you like the Bitubos? Probably my leading choice due to the price point
