I'm in the process of replacing the fork seals on my 2016 FXDLS and noticed the shocks mechanics on the inside of the fork tubes are different. Is this normal?

It might be hard to tell in the photos, but one side, the hex cap is removable the spacer, then the spring under it. This side is also under pressure. The other side there is a rod attached to the hex cap and the spring is mounted on that rod.

Normal for some Harleys including your FXDLS ... Cartridge on one side & traditional damper rod on the other.
