Default 2015 FXDWG abs issue

Hi all. I'm new on here, so apologies if I am asking a question, which has already been answered...

I am doing a twin front disc upgrade on my 2015 Wide Glide. I am using a 2016 Street Bob front wheel (for the twin hub).

My mechanic has done all the work, and it looks perfect, but the abs light won't clear- we are guessing the smaller wheel is causing the abs light to come on. Is there a solution to getting around this? I want to keep the ABS.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, the problem is the different tone ring for the ABS. The Wide Glide uses a 32-tooth ring and the Street Bob uses a 48-tooth ring. The ABS module sees the wrong signal and throws the light.

You have two options:

1. Swap the tone ring on your Street Bob wheel for the correct 32-tooth ring from a Wide Glide.
2. Get your bike's ABS module re-flashed by a dealer to tell it you now have the 48-tooth ring.

Swapping the physical ring is usually the more straightforward fix.

Thanks for the reply. The bearing is a 32 tooth ring option for a wide glide, so its not this.

The light flashes and continues to flash, with no codes. Abs light just flashes, doesn't go solid.

Have you ridden it yet?
Reason I ask is the bike has to get above 2-4 miles an hour for the light to go out, you probably know that though so even though you have a 34 in there that 19" tyre is not covering the same amount of ground per rotation as the 21" and the bike knows it as it compares the front wheel speed to the rear wheel speed as well.
The tyre is what, .6" different in diameter or so, might not be it but if it is I've seen it written on here somewhere how to sort it, can't remember off the top of my head.
