Default Brake lever switch

Anyone know if the brake lever switch located behind the hand lever is covered under warranty?

Not if you broke it putting new grips on. Otherwise yes it is covered and maybe you can get them to do it under warranty even if you broke it,it wont hurt to try I replaced mine on my 07 (yes I broke it) its not that hard.

It should be covered.But if you have had the grips off to replace with new grips and dint put a piece of cardbrd between bracket and lever I am sure they will get you on that and not be covered .

I broke the one on my wifes bike it cost about $26.00 and it is real easy to brake if you don't put something between the lever and the bracket!! You need to pull the lever in like you are putting on the brakes and insert something in the gap to hold it there until reinstalled and then remove it if not first time you pull the lever it will brake !!

Mine was covered by the extended warranty but the deductible was more then the part..

thats why its best to read the service manual before simple things even. And nope I havent broken my switch on none of the bikes I have had

doubt it, but buy one from an aftermarket shop much cheaper for same unit. Harley - about $22. Aftermarket shop - about $9. Broke one on a sporty.
