Default 2001 DWG front end options

I have a 2001 Dyna wide glide. I had the forks rebuilt about four years ago and they told me then that the Force were a little bit scarred and that if they started to leak again that I would need to replace them. Well, they’re leaking again. So I’m considering my options. I was looking at the TC Brothers Springer set for this bike. The thing is they’re only showing an option with a three-quarter inch axle for a 19 inch wheel. I emailed to see if they would offer anything for the 21 inch wheel that I have with a 1 inch axle and that I’d also like to add dual calipers. That was about three weeks ago and I’ve sent three follow ups. Apparently they don’t answer emails. Anyway, I’m wondering what my options are for putting a different front end on here. I would love to have dual calipers as I love the motorcycle, but I think the stopping power sucks. I’d like to do the springer front end if anybody knows where I can get a kit with a full front end that takes the 21 inch wheel and would offer dual calipers. Or I wouldn’t be opposed to swapping out the triple trees, and putting a little bit wider fork on there. But keeping the same rake that’s currently on there. Any suggestions?

Can you actually see imperfections in the fork tubes? rust pits? deep scratches ?
If not, it`s just time for new seals, it does happen
if yes, you could just buy new tubes
$340.00 from Drag, $250 from V-Twin

A new caliper from Wilwood would help your brakes not "suck" $272 @ Summit Racing

I honestly don’t really see anything notable so I’m not real sure. But the seals were replaced less than four years ago I had them done at V-Twin of Royal Palm Beach and added a Progressive springs in there. And I’ve been leaking for a few months now not bad but leaving some drips in my garage. Probably put about 4000 miles a year on it so thinking they should last a little bit longer than that. But was actually looking at just doing something to upgrade the front end and the rotor was replaced along with the brakes about a year and a half ago I just don’t feel that there’s adequate stopping power on the front. So I really want to go with a dual disc set up if that’s possible.

If it is leaking on the floor, it sounds like the drain plugs are leaking. When the seals go you usually just get some oil residue on the fork tubes, a puddle on the floor is no good. Wipe it clean, go for a ride and post a picture of the source of the leak. Drain plugs have a copper washer, easy fix if that is the leak, like $.10 at the dealership. Good luck.

Springers aren't supposed to have any front brakes, as far as I know!

I agree with the others here, you may want to dig into this before you go spending big $$ on a new front end. You might be able to fix it cheap and easy.
