Actually, I think its wicked-cool. I' probably replace the bug-eyes with a nice big bullet headlight, do the A/C/Map/Pipes thing, and ride the snot out of it.
Almost makes me wish I'd waited 'till '08 to buy.... note, I said Almost
Only time will tell how popular this bike is, but IMHO they tried to squeeze too many styles into one bike and they missed the bullseye. I still think it should have been called the Fat Glide, not Bob. Maybe once a member gets one and goes thru the customization process, it might turn out to have some real potential, but until then...[:'(]yuuuuuuuuuuk!!!!!
Go back up this page and look at that close up of the rear wheel. It looks like landing gear off a 747. IMO the style / fit /finish is the onearea that Harley has maintained over all other manufacturers. With the Fat Bob it's like HDis giving up andfollowing the chunky, bulky, overweight look that Yamaha and Kawasaki cruisers have been showing for years. Next up Sportsters will have 2' wide radiators and Dynas will haveshaft drive going into 15 inch wheelswith spokes that are about 3 inches long on a hub that looks like it came of a semi.
Just got mineon 9/13... stock pipes are louder than a stockbagger, but that's not saying much.I like the fact that it doesn't look like any other HD, head on.The bike gets lots of looks. Forward controls are on order, as it is I'm 6' 2" and look likea grasshopper with the mid-controls. Boss bags are on order as well. I want to get an RB racingpipe in ceramic black...
yeah im not really sold on the look of the front end with those dual headlights. i am not one to diss anyone's scoot, just giving my personal opinion on the topic. if you dig it, then rock it like mullett in a trans am!

I am still a st bob guy... some cool things going on with the fat bob but... i love the round fender not the dove tail... a bob is supposed to have big bars, motor, and maybe brakes... do not get me wrong... still a dyna and a HD got my support... Not fond of the rocker at all... the old lady wants one so in my mind they will forever be a girls bike
