Default Primary Cover Leaking

Fluid is leaking out of the bottom of the primary cover on my 05 Wide Glide. The bolts were loose so I re-tighten them. At first this seemed to stop the leak but after a few hours of riding it started to leak again. I checked the bolts and they were loose again. The dealer told me to replace the gasket. I replace the gasket andtorqued down the bolt (even used some blue lock tite on them). After a few hours of riding. it started to leak again. Upon inspecting it, the bolts loosened up again. The dealer told me that the primary cover was probably warped and I should replace it but he couldn't explain why a warped cover would cause the bolts to loosen up. Would a warped primary cover cause the bolts to continously loosen up? Any ideas on how to fix it?

You might try a Cometic AFM gasket. It is metal and some kind of foam and supposed to be the best sealing outer cover gasket.
Did you tighten the bolts too tight? You can strip the threads real easy.

You should not use blue locktite on the primary screws! You will have trouble getting them out without wrecking the threads in the aluminum inner primary.

Loosen all your primary bolts, take your service manual, and then tighten them all down in the CORRECT sequence and to the correct torque specs. Goes without saying you should get them all snug first before cranking them down to the correct torque. This will apply the correct force all around the perimeter and not allow the gasket to "walk" or "bow" on you.

Ditto what PowerCobra said, BUT, it does sound like you havesome striped threads.... Good luck with it, hope it doesn't take to much cheese to get her fixed.
