Well, have put around 14k on my original tires and looking to get new ones. Was curious what others have done. I can get the originals or are there others who have found nicer looking or better wearing tires as a replacement?
When you say "better wearing" - does hat mean that you think you should get more than 14K out of a set?
IMHO - the Metzeler me880 marathon is a far superior tire to the factory dunlop - sticks better, doesn't track road seams, but you will probably get less total mileage.
No, not better wearing than the originals, I am shocked they lasted this long. Just wanted to see what else everyone was using. I like a good looking tire that will do a good job. I will look at the ones you mentioned...
i have same bike and the metz, are far more rider friendly, and the handling is like nite and day go with the 90/90 in front instead of the factory 80/90, youwon`t beleave the diff

I'm watching this post cuz I have the same question. From what I read, the Metzeler is a good tire, but the mileage isn't great. My dad gets a new set almost every yeay. He thinks of it as spring maintenance...
I figured on more replies than this but oh well...I am leaning towards the Metzlers and then today at work, where alot of the guys ride HD, I was told they didn't like them. I still think I will get them, wanna try something different.
